Sandra Hopkie

Esthetics Educator

Sandra has been an Esthetician for 17 years now and has the same passion today for esthetics as she did 17 years ago. After working for one year in a salon, Sandra opened her own esthetics spa – and it is still successful to this day!
Sandra graduated from Dalhousie University in 1993 with a degree in Sociology. After a couple of years working with the Department of Social Work, she knew that it wasn’t the career she wanted. It was then – when she was 28 years old that she went to Concepts School of Cosmetology to pursue a career in Esthetics.
After she graduated she went on to do more educational courses like furthering her knowledge of skincare by taking courses through the Dermal Institute of Canada.
Sandra always knew that someday she would love to teach and share her passion and experience with those who wanted to learn and be the best they could be! Sharing this experience and knowledge is truly a dream come true!

Denise comes to HDC with a background in human resources, leadership and relationship building. She has years of experience with job searches and enjoys helping students with their cover letters, resumes and preparation for interviews.
